Well thanks a lot Mr and Mrs Holt ( Forgot Your First Names rofl ) letting Sandra see inside your van because within 1 hour I was thrown out of my cosy bungalow and my tool box's followed.

Doing away with the above cab bed, stripping the hessian through out, building cupboards above cab, have to troll the internet for some captain seats that fit with swivel but before I fit them I have to go to Sandra's brothers who has a factory and talk him in to selling us some material and store it for us and then and only then can I get the captain seats covered professionally, do the door cards and small trim I can do my self, ho and paint the roof and decorate it.

So Here We Go

Day 1.

Took the 2 piece bed out from above the cab, all curtains down ( Bed in really good condition EBAY ) started to rip down the hessian but no pics until tomorrow.

At this very moment the hidden internet scanner on your van is trawling the web looking for things to do to prevent you from lazing about in the sun :D

It will be my turn shortly Steve, chillaxing.

Day 2

Couldn't do much today as we had our youngest grandchild but managed to get a foot done and your right Steve, 1000's of staples which i thought i had a good idea how to speed up getting them out, a old style tin opener, sharp point and basically prise it away slightly and then pull out with pliers but didn't work so another pound in pound land wasted.
So then not to get so peed of and disheartened I am going to do one section a day so should take around 9 days to get all the hessian from all the van roof.
A question Steve - when you got all the staples out ect what did you do about all the staple holes, I was thinking of sikaflexing a strip of very thin ply over the mess in the ply wood roof. Anyway here are a few pic from today.

Wow.. That roof looks nice and dry :D

Good work Paul. What are you having instead of the hessian?

Hopefully one more day and I'll be 'chillaxing' as well :fc:

Just going to paint it white I think like Holty has done, really brightens the place up but not sure might look around for alternatives but paint is cheap and very very effective as the object of this whole exercise is to brighten it up and gain more visual openness, just don't know what to do about the mess the staples have made because paint wont cover it that's for sure. In fact I don't even know if there is a special paint.

Really chuffed your van will be back on the road tomorrow we will have to meet up somewhere.

Hey Paul. Looking good mate. I glued full finished wallboard sheets to the Exhisting plywood. Contact adhesive. Loadsa fun. Don't think I've come down yet. Highly recommended but gins cheaper. I used a small lecky screwdriver to prise one end of the staple out. Then plyers. Did take forever. Good luck mate. Just watching the sun go down somewhere in Northumberland. Plus G&Ts. Steve.
