Well when I say at speed you know what I mean 45-60

Right going down bypass today and it started, a banging or a thudding feeling under my feet and seat, you cant hear it because of the noise of the engine but you can definitely feel it, go around 30 and all is fine, also noticed I can feel and here every bump in the road.

Could any of this have anything to do with the drive shaft as its been clicking when you accelerate with the wheel turned but goes when not accelerating, if that makes sense.

As most of you know I have had nothing but bother since day 1 which to be honest is getting me rather peed off and to the extent I feel like selling and cutting my losses but after deep deep thought and realised I don't really have a lot in the beast I am going to re-new EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING under the cab. Right what do I need. Drive Shaft off side (new one nr/side last year, CV Joints, that's all I know.

HELP !! HELP!!

Hiya Paul,

Do you want to bring it down here or for me to come up to yours and have a look at it this week?

Dave

That to me sounds like a driveshaft, if you are getting clicking on take up of slack then somethings on the way out, the thumping could be the slack evidencing itself at speed,
Was under mine yesterday undersealing it and from the gearbox one driveshaft straight to wheel, nearside from memory, the other side has an intermediate drive shaft then shaft to wheel, try taking the van round a round about or empty car park on full lock either direction to see if you can pick up any knocking that should let you know if its the end shaft assemblies, if not it may be the intermediate shaft?
While you are under there check the engine mounts and gearbox
good luck

The gator is more or less gone, the first picture shows how it is and the second one is how its supposed to look, the second picture is from the near side.

I havnt even seen that Steve, good spotting.

Dave has just been to have a look round it and even he didn't notice it but having said that we wasn't looking on the near side only the drivers side.

Been searching for a drive shaft but always end up at the same place, coastal but even that is confusing me. There is mention about petrol, diesel, dicato ect why don't they just put what will fit what, also some mention of
