hi all,
when i got my motorhome there was no spare wheel. the wheels on my van are 16 inch with 5 bolts. the tyre size fitted to these are 195/75 R16c. i have managed to find a 16 inch wheel on the net, but it is fitted with a size 205 tyre. would this still be ok to use as a spare in an emergency ??.
many thanks smithy.

That will depend on a few factors, the pcd diameter for the 5 bolt holes which I think is 118mm, then size of the centre spigot hole and the offset from the hub to the face of the wheel rim.

try the wheel on your van, if it fits square then it be fine for a spare.

For the 14" vans pcd is 5x118 and I'm pretty sure it's the same for 16" versions

Hi Smithy, Just make sure the tyre is a van type and not a car tyre.

I believe it will have a load rating. My Avalon requires tyres with a load rating of 102, your existing tyres should say. Try this link:-
http://www.tesco-tyres.com/help/load-rating

While on the subject, have you checked the age of the tyres?
